Apple’s iPhone5 Remote Computing with NFC, a complicated usecase

Apple’s iPhone5 is expected to include a NFC silicon per Cult of Mac. Furthermore Apple is supposed to be researching a unique application for NFC, Apple iPhone5 will be enabling remote computing with NFC.

With all the activity at Apple around NFC, there is a strong likelihood that the iPhone5 will include a NFC chip. NFC is very useful and will have many applications.

However, the Remote Computing with NFC usecase discussed is too complicated and will provide little value. All of the remote computing scenarios discussed are handled very well with Cloud based applications and in a much simpler way. There is no need for an iPhone to be lugging around a desktop/laptop.

Adding complexity to a product or producing products with little value is unlike Apple. However, we shall find out in another six months.
