Motorola Citrus, an Entry-level Android Phone, from Verizon

Motorola Citrus smartphone is available tomorrow at Verizon Wireless.

The phone has an interesting history. It uses Microsoft’s Bing for search, it has the looks of Microsoft’s Windows Phone and Microsoft is suing Motorola. So close ties to Microsoft on all fronts.

It is an Android 2.1 phone available for $50 with a 2-year contract. The entry-level phone has specs to match – 3-inch display, 3 Mpixel camera, 6 hrs battery life. Apps from the Android marketplace can be used with the phone.

For the price it may be a good buy for many people.
