Verizon FIOS, 150 Mps (down), 35 Mbps (up) Internet service

High speed Internet at consumer level prices is what everyone is waiting for.

Verizon FIOS has launched its 150 Mbps (down) / 35 Mbps (up) Internet service in the US for $195/month.

Verizon’s FIOS website has not caught up with the new plan yet. It still shows 50 Mbps as the fastest tier.

With FIOS, Verizon could be offering symmetric Internet. However, the upload speeds are still severely limited to 23% of the download speeds.

Compare FIOS to 1 Gbps symmetric Internet in Chattanooga or to Fibrant’s 25 Mbps symmetric Internet  for $65/month in Salisbury, NC.
