BlackBerry Playbook Ad, Amateur Hour is over.


Playbook ad implies that Apple’s iPad is an amateur product.
Apple has sold over 19 million iPad’s as compared to the zero million Playbooks’ that have been sold so far.

Playbook landing page goes on to say, Playbook is the first professional grade tablet.
Perhaps people will buy it for work? And use it only for work?



But then Playbook’s usecase is given - Watch Kesha sing.
So, it is ok for an enterprise-class tablet to be used at work to watch a music video?



RIM needs to figure out its product focus, its marketing message and build something that people actually want.
