When Google Chrome fails with Chrome.
Google’s Chrome Experiments showcases creative uses of new browser technologies such as HTML5 and WebGL. However, the Chrome experiments fail with Google Chrome itself.
e.g. using the Chrome browser, click the Population Globe, which is supposed to show the world population in 3D. And this is what you get, a fail message –
Sorry, your browser does not support WebGL.
Please try with Chrome, Firefox 4 or Webkit Nightly (Mac)
And, the other experiments generate similar error messages.
The Chrome Experiments need to be tested more thoroughly with Chrome itself.
Perhaps the WebGL implementation expects to run on a GPU and when it doesn’t find it, it throws up an incorrect error message.
