SodaStream, Make Soda at Home

Here is an interesting drink product – instead of buying Coke, Pepsi or other sodas from the grocery store, with SodaStream you can make soda at home. You can drink soda and sparkling water without constantly buying cans and bottles.

With SodaStream, you can add a fizz to any drink with just the tap of a button. Add to tap water for sparkling water or add to soda concentrate and water for a homemade soda drink. SodaStream is available at Amazon and other stores.

For home made sparkling water, this is a convenient product. And, using the cola concentrates, you can enjoy homemade cola. There is also an energy drink concentrate available to make your own energy drink at home. The caveat for the concentrates is the taste, which can be something very personal.

Another item to watch out for is the overall cost. While the SodaStream carbonators last a long time, the CO2 refills are expensive and add to the overall cost of the product. But even with that, it is a far better replacement for store-bought soda or sparkling water.

Now for an interesting environment blurb from the company –
SodaStream is an "Active Green" company, meaning that consumers actively minimize their CO2 footprint when using the SodaStream system. The more the system is used on a daily basis, the more CO2 footprint the user actively saves. This differs from "Passive Green" brands, which use green-friendly production processes, but their products are not inherently helping you save on your daily footprint.
Consumers minimize their carbon dioxide footprint by drinking more carbon dioxide?
