Instagram got acquired by Facebook today for $1B.

In its Instagram is now bigger than … piece WSJ wonders 
That would make it worth more than some 423 companies in the S&P 1500, according to FactSet Research. (It still wouldn’t break into the S&P 500, where Supervalu is currently the smallest company at $1.13 billion.)
And, 
New York Times — The publishing stalwart is worth $947 million, meaning 160 years of news print, over 100 Pulitzer Prizes and About.com have been beaten in just 15 months.

KB Home — Among the nation’s biggest homebuilders, and therefore among the more important economic bellwethers carries a market cap of $644 million.

Did New York Times or KB Home add 30 million (potential) customers in the last two years?
