The Bloom Energy boxes take natural gas or biogas as input and produce electricity. With the current low natural gas prices and the expectations of abundant shale natural gas over the next few decades, selling Bloom Energy boxes should be the easiest thing.
But, Bloom Energy seems to be struggling with its business model - selling super-expensive fuel cells to large corporations. Is there a better business model of selling smaller, inexpensive fuel cells to consumers?
