How to Check if a Website is Safe, Has No Malware

How to check if a website is safe and has no malware.

To make sure that a website does not host any malware, check it with these two online services

BrightCloud
At BrightCloud, just enter the url (and fill in the captcha). You will get a detailed report for that url.

For example, a check on www.google.com yields the report on http://ie100.net, Google’s domain that maps to google.com (If you didn’t notice already, 1100 = Google)

BrightCloud is a WebRoot service.

Google Safe Browsing
Another similar service is Google’s safe browsing.

Copy-paste the following link in your browser, replace http://www.google.com with your desired url.

If Google lists the site as suspicious, it may have a problem.

Google warns if other sites hosted on the same network
