How to Fix a Jerky Logitech Mouse, Windows 8

If your Logitech mouse pointer is jerky, and is difficult to point at a specific location, this may be a fix for it.

Go to Change Mouse Settings
a)     Windows Key
b)    Settings > Search
type “mouse settings”
c)     Change Mouse Settings

Change Scheme to None
Pointers > Scheme > None

Pointer Options > Enhance pointer precision

And restart the PC.

In most cases, this should fix the jumpy mouse problem.

If this still hasn’t fixed the problem, it could be a number of other reasons from mouse laser covered with dirt to others.

For a technology (mouse pointers) that has been around for decades, it is surprising to find such basic issues still there in Logitech mouse and Windows 8.
